Health and safety on our tours is paramount to Planet Earth Adventures. We are taking every precaution to ensure the well-being of all participants. We believe these guidelines will minimize any risk to both our guests and guide staff.

Prior to departure

Precautions. Take steps to limit COVID-19 exposure 14 days prior to departure. Avoid crowded public spaces or wear a face mask and practice social distancing methods as recommended by the CDC. Frequent hand washing is always one of the best ways to avoid getting any infection or virus. We ask that you pack and use hand sanitizer during your tour with us.

Vaccinations. Beginning on October 1, 2021 all travelers (over the age of 12) departing on any Planet Earth Adventures tour are required to have received the full dosage of the COVID-19 vaccination(s), and allow 10 days to two weeks for the immunity to take affect. Non-vaccinated travelers must show a negative result from a COVID-19 viral test 96 hours before the first day of the tour. All travelers to any destination are required to share proof of vaccination(s) or viral test. Any further questions please call us at (800) 923-4453.

Information. The situation with regards to COVID-19 is always changing. We are monitoring the crisis and how it may impact our tour schedules and itineraries. Our decisions are based on expert guidance from local and national authorities in Texas, United States and Ireland. We will communicate any relevant information to you via email if the need arises.

During a tour

Face Masks. All tour participants must bring their own face masks and they must be worn when required by local regulations or by establishments visited during the tour and for van shuttles, regardless of vaccination status. Participants are encouraged to wear a mask indoors in public, especially if you have a weakened immune system or an underlying medical condition. Planet Earth Adventures will have additional face masks should you lose or misplace one. However, it is your responsibility to carry a spare mask. Not having a face mask could prevent your full participation on a tour. Mask requirements apply equally to staff and guests.

Social distancing. Planet Earth Adventures is doing everything possible to separate groups into smaller groups for both activities and meals. We follow all local rules regarding capacity limits at restaurants, public spaces and transportation.

Cleanliness. All of our modes of transportation we use and establishments we visit follow the protocols of sanitization. Listening devices, if necessary, are all sanitized and yours for the entirety of the tour. Extra care is taken for your dining experiences. We follow all the local health guidelines for food service. We will also ensure meals are served in smaller groups and individually plated as much as possible. Washing hands and frequent use of hand sanitizer is recommended. We will provide hand sanitizer as you exit/enter transportation and public establishments if necessary.

Guides, Leaders & Staff. Planet Earth Adventures is mandating COVID-19 vaccines for all of our staff. Our guide staff are already trained in First Aid and CPR and are capable to deal with any injuries and health-related issues. If, at any time, you experience any flu-like symptoms, please do not hesitate to discuss this with one of our staff. Planet Earth Adventures is responsible for ensuring the welfare of the entire group and we will make decisions in the best interest of the group.

Thank you for your cooperation.
